Generosity: priceless

“Anyone who loves money will never be satisfied with what they have. Whoever loves wealth will never be satisfied with more of it. This too is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 5:10

We have the term “priceless” which is used to describe something that has such great value that can not be measured in terms of money; it can not be bought. It is beyond price.

Please give an example of something that is of this kind of great value.

Can it be measured? If so, how?

Generational Nurture: pruning branches

Sometimes, the best place to start is to stop.

What are some generational failures from your own cultural background that you can be a part of recognizing, reversing, healing, or reconciling?

Jesus said 1“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2“Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it so that it may bear more fruit.” – John 15:1-2

Generational nurture: learning from others

One of the virtues, values and ‘expected student outcomes’ at International Community School, Singapore is Cultural Sensitivity – “I have an understanding and respect of different cultures, values, and points of view.”

As a follower of Jesus, I have a legacy that I have been grafted into, including blessings and promises that I have been adopted into. John 15:1, Jesus said to his disciples, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.”

What virtue, value, trait, or ‘generational blessing(s)’ are you choosing to ‘adopt’ from another culture or person you admire?
