Fad-Proof your efforts

“When you internalize an author whose vision or philosophy is both rich and out of fashion, you gain a certain immunity from the pressures of the contemporary.” – Scott Aniol

How many pop bands have come in and out of fashion in the past 70 years of recorded music? Countless. How many do we remember for making a lasting difference? Few. Why is it that so much popular pop culture bubbles to the surface and … well… >pops< ?

When we invest our energies into making art, how can we think about more than instant results? How can we make lasting beauty?

In what ways do your energies in art need to be fad-proofed? What have you done or can you do to create lasting beauty? How can you work generationally?

    – You need to find and discover your own style, and when you make your own art, use the inspiration from the world or others and add too it to make it unique. When you make subtle changes it makes you stand out from the rest. Adding thought provoking meaning, that will stick with people. Especially being real and honest draws people to your work and makes it memorable.

Fad-proofing a piece of art normally requires resemblance of certain characters those are in common within lasting arts. The artists should at all time challenge their own artistic height and create meaningful works those are original, probably not technically, but in terms of style and context. They should challenge existing trends and styles, yet generally acceptable to the public.

When we do arts, no matter performance arts, visual arts, verbal arts, or audible arts, we should put our thoughts and moods, especially enthusiastic towards art in our art. By doing this, we can create lasting beauty because it is unique and full of our own creativity, no one can duplicate it.

In what ways do your energies in art need to be fad-proofed?
    – Drawing manga! I mean, comics. These things must be very fad-proofed so that they can influence people, or else nobody is going to buy it.

What have you done or can you do to create lasting beauty?
    – It is easy for us to make dramatic things that can impress people at the first glance, but without true idea in it, this fad-proofed things is not going to last long. For something to be lasting beauty, it must have some persuasive power and deep thoughts that can convince people and make them think and remember.

    How can you work generationally?
    – For a thing to be generational, it must last long, so it must be art that contains lasting beauty, and also, it must convince some rigid idea—-I mean, idea that are good, that can actually teach people things, can shake their worldview. (AKA justice never dies LOL)

I need to work on putting myself in the work. I usually make art that has a specific theme which makes me be very straightforward and clear, but not how I think or view them. If I put myself into art, it will last as it will not be affected by the context of time or environment. Putting myself to the art also makes me reflect which will not only make myself to be better, but also recall on myself in past when I look on the art

I’m not to sure about the first question. But this really reminds me of my Dream Catcher piece from way back (it’s still hanging above our heads!). The leaves and branches that I used for it came from a curry tree on the Elementary Playground and has since corroded to a chard brown colour when beforehand it was green.
I had tried different methods in trying to keep the same green colour in the leaves, but it still turned out the way it was.
I think the only way we can really preserve beauty in art and anything else we make is the deep meaning behind it. Like all the other old famous art works that are still as famous today, It really had mostly to do with the story behind the art not so much as how beautiful it is.

This art is so artistic!!! We or me would love to make art like this. We should take are time who cares about who wants it right away, if a artist needs to take there time let them cause the results will be even better than a rushed prodject. We can embrace the futere try somthing new or even stay the same or add your own touch. You can add your own touch to your work to make sure its yours from your generation. If you think your artwork is unique and has a bit of your own touch to it, its perfect. Honestly art takes time, then it is yours so yeah. We can add stuff from are generation making are own and who knows it might be famous in 300 years do time.

To make your work Fad proof is by having inspiration. You need to have a meaning in your drawing. Make something that would be useful or look nice that not a lot of other people can do. It will take sometime for your painting or something popular. Nothing can just be POOF so good. You will encounter some mistakes as you are selling your art. From that you can make it better. Your art also needs to be a part of history. If it’s in history people will pass it on to a museum and it will be displayed until it gets stolen. That is how you can fad proof your art

In order to fad-proof our energies in art, we need to think ahead. We have to bring awe to people of all eras and generations. We can do that by mixing together different trends or starting your own. We can try our best to make our art worthy of all generations. Maybe you can ask other people’s opinion or think of how you can add different elements to the art piece. I have tried my best to combine different styles that were used in other art pieces that had ever lasting beauty. I tried to mix in a variety of elements from my past work. We can work generationally by thinking ahead, as I stated before. Try to incorporate techniques that will amaze people.

The art need to pop, the artwork can never be forgotten, that people will never forget it and that they want more of it. I want to make the artwork unforgettable, an so detail that you could memorize it if you tried. I can make it that it doesn’t jut fit a particular time, and a certain people so that everyone would know about it and that it wouldn’t get throw of to the side, because it doesn’t matter anymore. We could make art that just fits a time, or a generation, and that it might be forgotten years, or even months for now. We want people years and decade of century from now to remember what we have done. Make a spark that intrigues them to want to know more and never let go of that knowledge.

Fads gain lots of attention during their release, but soon the trends die out and you are left with a piece of art that gains no attention. In fact, the art might even embarrass you and your descendants. In this way, fad-proofing is important so your art will affect the generations to come. So, a key priority in fad-proofing work would be to think not of current trends and events, but instead think for what would happen in the future. Another key is to not succumb to criticism from others, for though they may be useful your art which may be hated today may be loved in the future. Famous painters sold very few of their paintings, but now they are valued in the hundreds of thousands and maybe even millions. Finally, just do whatever you want with your art. Think not of today in your art, and maybe your art will become famous for future generations.

In my opinion, how to fad-proof your things are to make something beautiful. Not just new or unique but it needs to be beautiful. Needs to be a perfection and a thing that will always be great to see again or use again. A thing that people will always need or want like water. It needs to be like water. It needs to have insurance that it is good and great. I think that I can create lasting beauty by putting all my effort into the things I make. I think that I need to prove that it is wonderful myself, and also get proved by others that it is wonderful.

I think pop culture is weird and it changes as artists make up something different. People like the new style and forget the old. Instant results aren’t always going to happen. Many times, artists died before their art was even noticed. When we create something we think of things that are current, and we don’t think about what people in the future will think. Next generation people are going to be more advanced. We may have devices we can use freehand and we may or may not be taken over by robots. We need to start thinking about what is to come, not what already is here. Something that will inspire people. That is way inspirational quotes are so popular. Quotes from years ago are still popular because it inspires people all the time. The quotes were made to relate to people in the past, present, and future. When we create we need to think about how things will be thought of in even just the next few weeks.

What I would do in order to fad-proof my art work is to think about what to do for art carefully. If you just rush and don’t put a good effort in your art work people will later lose interest in it and you won’t be popular for so long. What I can create is in today’s world cartoon and pop art is trend. So maybe I can do that. The theme would be funny situations and meaningful issues. Then people will like it even though it’s many years later. Because sometimes a lot people use simple artworks or designs for decoration.

How I can work gene rationally is to read more books about future world and think about the genres for the artwork. Also to plan first -Joy

Things always come and go for example slime, squishies, fidget spinners were or are trends that came and are fading in 2017. So how can you make art that will always be well known and not become forgotten? Well mabey you could make art that is consider “not cool.” What is “cool” though what is cool is what people think is cool. The mona lisa was not always cool but one day someone stole it and everyone talked about it, So thats why the mona lisa is famous. Well the mona lisa will one day not be here. So I don’t think you can really make art that will last. So make art that you think is cool and will glory God. If you really want your art to always be cool than do what is cool in your eyes.

To make my creation last long, maybe I could make art that has not been invented before. Maybe a piece of art that no one would have thought of it before and something that will blow up their mind. A trend is created when a one person starts it and people think it’s cool so they follow too. Now, when we want our work to be a trend and last generationaly we definitely have to put lots of effort into it. Small details can leave our work into a generational piece of work. Although maybe some generations later it would disappear but our effort will still be somewhere kept in history, and… some other time.. maybe it will be a new trend.

Art should always have a meaning. Only those that can understand the art and know the meaning of it can really know how to enjoy art. It really depends on the people, if they understands, the art will last. Make the art meaningful and easy to understand, then it will probably last for generations.

My energies in art can sometimes be fad, mostly because it only appeals to my generation. One way that I can create lasting beauty is to reflect what I see in my life, rather than what I want people to see. This works generationally because if I reflect what I see, the future generations can look at it, and understand what happened, or how I was feeling at the time. It is like a history lesson in an art piece.

I think an art piece lasts long if it is done or finished by an artist who were in a difficult situation or had talent from a very young age. For example, Beethoven was deaf and created amazing music pieces, and that could be one of the reasons people today still listen to him, being amused at how a deaf person can make this kind of music. Another example is Mozart, from a very young age, he played piano and was very good at it. He even composed and played music when he was not even ten years old. Nowadays, it is easy to make music as we have lots of different good softwares to compose. So maybe that is why today’s music don’t last as long. I think because of situations, it helps music last longer.

Making something fad-proof can be proved difficult. We live in an age filled with different kind of trends that comes and goes. Once a trend passes by, we either forget about it immediately, make fun of it, or be embarrassed for ever liking it in the first place. There are not a lot of people that like to enjoy old trends or ignore trends completely and go by their own paste. Yet, people still enjoy Leonardo da Vinci’s paintings or Mozart’s music. Why is that? They were famous figures from a long time ago. We can use our energy make something rich, yet outlandish, out of fashion. That is what can make our art last for years on by. We can make something different, something that flows differently.

In art, our energies can be fad-proofed by creating something deeper, and truthful. To create lasting beauty, we can create art that is suitable for all audience and has its own originality or uniqueness to it. To work generationally, combining each different generation’s style to produce art could work.

Oftentimes, the most popular things in life at one period of time no longer become relevant, such as Silly Bands, Pokemon Go, and others. If someone in 2016 makes art about Pokemon Go, sure, it would be “cool” in 2016, but no one would regard it as such in later years. What I would say in regards to this is to avoid making art simply about trends, unless the trends are guaranteed to last about long periods of time. Instead, make things in art of things that last, use colors that last, use the principles of art that last. And if you are going to make art of trends, use that art to create history. Some of the most famous artists have made history with their drawings, even outside of trends. If you really have no ideas, create an art piece based off of something in nature. Nature will last until the world comes to an end–on the Day of Judgment.

So I need to make the things that match to the generation and also when we see or listen after a few years, it need to be also good.

To make something that can be fad proof then you will have to love the object forever so that people will go back to these items so that it can be popular again. For example, Pokemon Go had come out last year and you will see people using there phones wasting your data and don’t know where you are. So I think that electronics have been coming out recently and getting rid of the old fashioned way to do things. For example, smartphones like the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus has recently come out and sooner or later people would not use the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus because they don’t like it anymore. But for music like Kpop it is getting more and more popular around the United States and other countries in the world so I think that for art people can go to art museums and look at the the art and start drawing for fun and make it a masterpiece in the near future. So I think that items that comes out and the old objects will still be a thing because it cannot be fad-proof. It will just be a fad thing.

I think the “old” thing does not matter whether it is fashionable or not.
If we throw our heartily thoughts or ideas in pictures, that would become the reasons why it is not unfashionable even though the picture looks old.
Therefore, I want to handle my work with my true heart.

I think that there should not be a fad in art which I think that is steadily beautiful all the time. I think that fad is too lowbrow for art that art should not follow the fad. If art follows for fad, the more valuable things in art would be veiled in the cover of fad, so all the pictures that famous artists had drawn in the past would be treated as useless and meaningless. I never think this is right.

How can I make a lasting fad?
    A few ideas
Make it timeless (Make it so that it wouldn’t be out of place now, or in the near future)
Get people to support it (Start out small, and request them to inform their relatives and kids(If they had any))
    Put effort and share it
Make it something nobody can replicate it by hand.

Let’s think of different people who have made a lasting effect… Michelangelo, Leonardo and a few others. it is not only making lasting art, but making a statement with your art. I don’t think I have made any really lasting art. Art is made to last, but it isn’t always remembered. you have to do something that is different, is original, and tells the world something important. This works with books and such.

I think art tends to be preserved for a long period of time when you come up with your own art. People have their own techniques and styles in the way they create art so we should use our methods to create. I think also leaving a good impression on society is important for you to be remembered. The way people perceive you will be the way society will judge your works. Thus, the most vital part in creating works is to make sure that you produce genuine works of you that people will be able to identify as yours

Things never last, they come and go. We should not focus our energies on things but toward God and art. Artists should not put all their identity in their art but in their love and passion for God because that is what will last when things don’t. We can work generationally by spreading God’s love to younger people so that they will spread it on to the next generation and so on.

I feel as if when we make mistakes in art we normally overthink it. Normally when I make art I often make mistakes and have to re-do most things. Although sometimes it can be discouraging and most of the time inconvenient, if you want to create art of something you are choosing to make something identical to that thing. If we make mistakes it is not identical and the mistakes are made by us. Often I believe that when I make a mistake when making something I think that it is my mistake which means the art is mine in a sense of no one else has made something like it. It is essentially made by you and you only. Sometimes mistakes aren’t always that bad. This means that in everything we do no one else is like you. That is why it is good to be yourself when you create art.
